Touch Screen not working Surface Pro 6

Replaced motherboard on used Surface Pro 6 (ssd was dead.). Managed to get screen off without breaking the glass and felt like a hero, but unfortunately things did not go perfectly. After reassembling device I discovered that the touch screen no longer works. The cables appear to be fine and are seated firmly, and the touchscreen worked with the old motherboard. Tried to remove the driver and tried booting the uefi bios but nothing works. Also did all the microsoft updates. I'm guessing I gotta replace the screen, but any help from the community would be greatly appreciated.
