Why can’t I turn on my phone or see battery status?
I use a magnetic charger, so my phone’s plug is never empty. It shouldn’t be dirty. My phone has been freezing on me every now and then for the past 6 months or so. It actually freezes on me somewhat often in the morning after a long period of no input. It specifically seemed to be freezing around the time of my alarm, 8am, regardless of whether or not it was plugged in. I have a clock screensaver when its locked and charging so the screen is often frozen with the time on screen. It somehow freezes after 8, sometimes without the alarm going off. (I have a Google routine setup which I think overwhelms it considering it’s generally slow and is trying to suddenly wake up and do multiple processes at once)
On top of all of this, the magnet wire i use has been degrading on me. It has a blue power indicator light on the wire tip connection when plugged into the wall. The past couple days before my phone incident, it had been flickering on and off. Very sensitive to how it was bent and twisted. It also seemed to carry a slow/weak charge. It’s extremely flexible due to being a thin braided cable. Often hanging directly over the edge of my nightstand while plugged into my phone. Almost a 90 degree angle over the edge.
Night before incident, I can’t remember if I locked it before plugging it in or not. I usually avoid just plugging it in and letting it fall asleep. Locking it first seemed to decrease the chances of freezing. I woke up and it was frozen with a black illuminated screen. I do what i usually do when it’s frozen. Remove and reinstall battery. I then went to turn it on and it wouldn’t. I then plugged it in in the living room with a more reliable plug. After a moment, I clicked the lock button to see the battery level. Nothing, not even illumination. Hold down to power on. Nothing.
I thought maybe the battery was finally dead and interfering somehow. I know you can use the phone without a battery while plugged in. I’ve done it before. That is, I’ve removed the battery while it was plugged in to unfreeze it and the frozen screen stayed on. I’ve never tried to power it on without a battery. I removed the battery and plugged it in and now, rather than a black screen(illuminated or not), a battery symbol with a red flashing question mark inside popped up on the screen. I then tried to power it on and it wouldn’t.
The only way I’ve managed to get any signs of life/power is by plugging it in without the battery. I haven’t been able to make any progress beyond the red question mark battery symbol. I even bought a new replacement battery from Amazon for $10 from LCLEBM and it didn’t work at all. Tried charging with the new battery and still nothing. All of the wires and magnet nibs I’ve tried with other devices and they all work same as usual. I’ve also tried everything with regular, non magnetic charge cables and I get the same results.
TBH, I do not care to keep the phone. There are only two things I want to salvage off of it. My QuickMemo+ notes(I had A LOT). And the list of tabs I had open(about 90), my bookmarks, and my saved passwords in Brave browser.
Ist dies eine gute Frage?

You need to replace the battery & did you check the battery connectors?

In my Question I stated that I got a new battery, but it didn’t work. Which makes me think the battery isn’t the problem. I did check the battery contacts inside the phone. The phone prongs and the battery contacts look clean. A plain brassy gold color.
