Lighting struck near by and our TV went out I don’t know if it’s one board or both boards.

eds95hog all of this "the fuse was blown I replaced it but it was to big and it blew that fuse and also took out I think a thremrister also NT811s" would lead me to purchase a new power board. Schematics for your PSU are not available, so to determine what has potentially failed is going to be tough. The failing fuse etc. is not related to a bad power board. that is not to say that this is the only thing that has failed. It is fairly common for the main board to get "zapped" but that would not cause the damage on the power board. It is of course entirely possible that both boards got damaged. I'd start with the power board and then re-evaluate. If there are still issues I would replace the main board.

Hi,
Please verify the model number of the TV?
Have you checked if the fuse on the power board is OK? Usually it is located near to where the power cord connects to the board.
Is there any obvious component damage visible on the boards?

The model # UN55KS8500F and yes the fuse was blown I replaced it but it was to big and it blew that fuse and also took out I think a thremrister also NT811s and that’s on the power board, I hate to buy a power board no knowing if the main board is good or bad. In the late 60s early 70s I worked at a TV service shop but I didn’t get into transistors very much

Did you replace the fuse with a similarly rated "slow blow" fuse i.e. one with a "T" current rating. e.g. T5.0 A etc? (can't see what the actual value the fuse is from images online, except that there is a T in the rating on the board) T = timed or slow
A standard fuse of the same rating will blow straight away due to the high inrush currents when the TV is first connected to the power.
