I'd first take it in to an AutoZone and get a free computer read-out to see if it has issues. (They do this with the hope you will buy parts from them).

Seafoam. Google "running seafoam through 2011 Nissan Pathfinder"
I had 8-9 mpg and ever since I did, I now have never dropped below 11 mpg, and it was as high as 13.6
I know its not a huge difference but I have an 05 and she's a thirsty one also

I normally get a little over 16 mpg, on the hwy it's around 22mpg. 2005

@wolf777 how bad is it? What have you checked thus far? How is the performance? How does it drive? It's listed at 14mpg/city and 20mpg/hwy not that great to begin with....
