Why does my iPad digitizer not wok?

I bought an iPad 5 wifi digitizer from IFixit.

When I first applied it the corner did not work but after that the entire left portion of the screen was not working, I may not go for a refund because the process isn't worth the effort but I will definitely leave a bad rating!

why did this happen?

Philip, it seems unfair of you to "leave a bad rating" because you're not willing to take the few steps needed to talk to the iFixit Store staff about a replacement. Your digitizer has a lifetime warranty, and I've found the staff to be extremely responsive and helpful.

They specifically select their parts for high quality and longevity, but like anything it's always possible to get a bad apple in the bunch. The good news is they stand behind their products and are happy to help.

So please, take @strongbow's advice and check the connectors, and if you're still having problems contact iFixit at support@ifixit.com and they'll take care of you.

@dadibrokeit , I had another digitizer on hand which fully worked on the iP, thus I will claim it on the warranty! Ill give you an update when I've refunded it!

@ch_w Well, I'm sorry to hear you had an issue with the replacement part from iFixit, but glad to hear you got it resolved to your satisfaction. I will personally continue to buy from them thanks in large part to their excellent customer service department.

Disconnect the connectors and refit them again making sure they’re seated properly. Sometimes they look and feel like they’re connected but they’ll have a partial connection. Disconnecting the battery first of course. If that doesn’t help then it could be the screen or a failing part on the board itself.
