New battery does not charge a second time

My new battery will not charge a second time on my Dell E7250.

I charge the battery a bit over four hours the after putting in the new battery.

I unplugged the laptop and ran the laptop on battery until the laptop suspended.

When the laptop suspended, I powered the laptop again to verify it was suspended due to battery power and not power-saving. Since the OS had reported 20% battery left, a few minutes before the suspend.

When I plugged in the power supply, the battery charge led only came on for about 2 seconds.

And this is the state now.

I have left the laptop connected to power over night, without any change.

I have also tried unplugging the power, and remove and re-insert the battery.

I the BIOS settings the battery is reported as excellent and 0%

The charge configuration is set to 'Standard'

I have tried 'ExpressCharge' and 'Adaptive' without any progress in battery charging.

Any suggestions on what I can do to get the battery charging?
