Why is the ribbon cable connector overheating?

I've replaced the daughterboard and when plugging the battery in the connector for the ribbon cable instantly gets hot. Then the battery gets hot. When I put the old daughterboard back in there is no heat.

Hi there, this sounds like there is a potential half/full short in the new daughterboard, is it possible to get another replacement? It sounds like you got a faulty unit. Thanks!
