I have the same problem but the part is out of stock almost everywhere. The only seller I found on Amazon wants almost $300 for it. There are plenty of used c740-15iml on eBay for that price.

Thanks, no luck so far. For the same-series smaller c740-14iml model the fans are everywhere for $20-40. It is truly puzzling what is so special about the 15iml :(
