Right Hinge Damage, hinge replacement or shell replacement?

I’ve been going through some boxes and found my original 3DS XL in a bit of a sorry state, everything is fully functional, all the buttons work, it reads games fine, it charges 3D works, and both screens do, however the right Hinge has snapped off from the console, I am wondering if I need to do a full shell replacement, a hinge replacement, or if could just superglue the broken piece back onto the console

I believe the box that the console was in was dropped whilst I was moving.

Any help will be appreciated :)

@anacecase superglue is out ;-) It won't hold for very long based on the movement of the hinges etc. I would go with a shell replacement. Little bit more work but that way everything aligns properly and should not give you any trouble in the long run. iFixit does have the guides needed for more of the wok right here 3DS XL Repair - iFixit

Hi, would there be an option to order just the casing of the right hinge, I managed to get the broken one back on put due to its damage it came off again, I feel that a complete one of these will fix it

@anacecase I have not seen them offered like that, so I am sorry but I can not tell you.

The part that's broken off is molded to the top case so it's not going to be available separately. You can buy just the top of the case on Amazon for about $10 USD that will fix your problem.
