Is this the correct fuse?

I bought 2 "f1" fuses online because my ds had a blinking orange light and the fuse was bad and they came but they looked diffrent from what I expected (See Photo). The fuse im talking about is the fuse with a 2 on it. In case your wondering, my ds still had the blinking orange light. Is it the correct fuse and if it is what could be the problem?

@pulpiosis not sure what you are looking at on the image you attached. The F1 fuses is by the connector.

We don't know what fuse you got so it will help if you can give us a part number or a description of what you bought.

BTW look like you've got a lot of heat going on there. Either bring your temps down or cover those plastic parts with kapton tape etc.

Check this guide Nintendo DS lädt nicht mehr (Reparatur) for the EM filter and check it as well.

Update (05/15/23)

@pulpiosis no worries about having done more damage. Trust me, we have all been there.

Okay I see now what you were looking at. Sorry, your image is a bit hard for me to check due to OPV (Old People vision) Now, not every SMD fuse has to be green. As long as you know that the component you have, are 0.50A 32V 0603 fuses, you will be ok.

Thank you so much that was a very detailed response. I should have known how unclear I was so I added a new photo to the post highlighting what I was talking about. You see the fuse I got is not what I was expecting since the one i was expecting is usually green with nothing on it. And yes this was my first attempt at soldering so I might of caused more problems then I solved. Hope this gave you some ideas!

yes, I'm a proficient solderer and I melt plastic on occasion also.

I would verify that your bridge rectifier is OK b4 replacing that fuse. Fuses don't normally just open up for no reason.

What exactly is the bridge rectifier?

@ruggb what bridge rectifier? Common reasons why the fuses on these blow, is because of the low ratings. Those are only 0.5A fuses.
