Most phones will delete the password AND everything else on a hard reset or factory reset. A number of video on youtube.
Hope you have it backed up.

Those are not working

I tried the power and vol down buttons but I only get the android logo nd the text fastboot mode in the top left hand corner. Power button and vol up keys together do nothing.

Mir geht es genauso.
I have this problem and this phone does not have a recovery mode.
Following a corrupted security update the phone no longer recognises my pin. This has bricked the device.
HMD are not interested. This phone is marketed to be repaired it is impossible to even hard reset!
This phone is completely impossible to unlock, don't believe the recycling hype.

Ich hatte das selbe Problem. Habe es eingeschickt und bekam es wieder zurück. Es wurde kein Fehler gefunden. Es lief wieder eine Weile dann stürzte es immer wieder ab. Ging nicht mehr an. Irgendwann ging es wieder an und ich habe es komplett zurück gesetzt. Beim wieder einrichten ist es genau beim erstellen eines Passwortes abgestürzt. Nun habe ich ein Passwort, dass ich nicht kenne. Garantie ist inzwischen abgelaufen. Tastenkombi zum Rebooten geht nicht und Googlekonto hatte ich noch nicht eingerichtet.
