Kann Akku nicht laden, Betrieb nur mit Netzteil auch nicht möglich.

Hallo, wie beschrieben lädt mein Akku nicht haben dann einen neuen gekauft selbes Problem. Netzteil getestet liefert DC 19,5V, Betrieb des G2 nur mit Netzteil funktioniert auch nicht. Weiss nicht mehr weiter. Werde den G2 nun zerlegen weiß nur nicht wo ich ansetzten soll mit der Reparatur. Vielleicht kann mir wer einen Tip geben was da sein kann wenn weder der Akku geladen noch der Netzbetrieb möglich ist trotz funktionierenden NT.

Hello, many thanks to Oldturkey for his constant support. In the end it was the power supply, with the original it worked although I could charge with the other a few times. Why don't I know, nevertheless, I learned a lot, so I'm very positive. Greetings from Vienna.

@woertsch double check your AC adapter. HP is a bit crazy and wants you to use the ones that are approved by HP only.

If yours is okay to use, then you want to check the DC-in jack first. Make sure that you get power on the board-side of the connector. For the general work, use the guides from here HP EliteBook 820 G2 For more specific work, use the Service and Maintenance guide that you can download from here

For the DC-in jack repair, check a video like this for your guide.

@woertsch überprüfe dein Netzgerät. HP ist ein bisschen verrückt und möchte, dass wir nur die von HP zugelassenen Netzteile verwenden.

]is it normal that pin2 jumps between 0.000V and 0.500V or could that be my problem. Pins 1 and 3 supply a constant 19.5V. LG Woertsch

@woertsch do you measure it between ground and that contact? (Black probe to ground and Red probe to contact) That could actually be a sensor wire. Remember that HP lovrd to do that so that we only use their power supply.

What numbers are on your Motherboard? Maybe we can find the schematic for it.

@woertsch that is perfect. Yes, looks like #2 is a sensor line.That means that the fluctuating voltage is most likely normal. Do you have an original power supply or a 3rd party one? The pictures of your motherboard will come in handy as well. I converted those to an update to your question.

Hello, I am using a 3rd party power supply. Do you think that could be the problem. The laptop was sorted out by an acquaintance in the company, I was given the power supply unit and I fully charged it about 3 times. Then suddenly it didn't work anymore. When I connected the power pack without the battery, only a few lights flashed at the front.

Hello, I reassembled the laptop, I have to rule out that the problem lies with the non-original power supply. Get me an original power supply and let me know if the problem still exists. Thanks to Oldturkey

I think I'll check the IC6000 more closely tomorrow.
