Hi @bharatredd31413

Does the laptop indicate that the charger is connected i.e. power light turns on?

If it does try a power refresh in case it is a corrupted BIOS that is the cause of the problem.

Here’s the procedure:

a). Disconnect the charger from the laptop if connected.

b). Remove the main battery from the laptop

c). Remove the RTC coin cell battery from the motherboard.

Here’s the owner manual for the laptop. Go to p.11 and p.51 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove the main battery and the RTC coin cell battery respectively from the laptop

When the RTC coin battery is removed measure its voltage. If it is <2.6V DC replace it. The battery model number is on the battery itself. If it is a CR2032 these are very common and available most everywhere e.g. supermarkets.

d). Press and hold the laptop's Power button for a full 30 seconds and then release it

e.) Reinsert the RTC battery (or its replacement). +ve side up as marked on the battery.

f). Reverse the above steps to re-assemble the laptop.

g.) When the laptop is completely re-assembled, connect the charger and try to turn on the laptop.

If it starts OK there may be a message about the date and time being incorrect. This is normal as the BIOS has been completely reset back to its default settings. Once the date and time have been adjusted the message won’t appear the next time that the laptop is started.

If you had previously changed any user defined settings in BIOS to suit whatever specific hardware configuration that you had for the laptop, then these will have to be set again.

If it doesn't, check that there is 19.5V DC on the output cable plug of the charger.

If you don't have a DMM (digital multimeter) try connecting another compatible, known working charger and check.

If the charger is OK check that the DC in jack is OK by opening the laptop and check that there 's power on the red and black jack cable plug wires connected to the motherboard.

If you have a DMM, here's a video that shows how to replace the DC-In jack if the jack is faulty, that may help. Initially all you have to do is to disconnect the cable from the motherboard, connect the charger to the laptop as per normal and then check for voltage on the red and black wires.

If there is no voltage present on the two wires the jack will have to be replaced as it cannot be repaired.

Search online for YF81X to find suppliers that suit you best.

If there is voltage present on the DC-In jack cable plug wires then there's a problem on the motherboard and further testing would be required to find out what's wrong.
