iPad Air 4 screen covered in lines after battery replacement

I used the ifixit kit to replace the battery on my iPad Air 4 but when I put the screen back on and powered it on it was covered in lines. It still responded to different external inputs from manually resetting or turning it on and off but it was still just lines going along the length of the screen.

Ist dies eine gute Frage?

Can you post a picture of what it looks like? You can add photos right into your original question.

@flannelist oh thank you I just added one

Were you able to solve the issue? I recently dropped my iPad and am experiencing the same issue.

Having a look at your photo, this doesn't seem like display damage, which is good. But something is clearly not working. I have a couple of thoughts, but based on your description that you have replaced the battery, I might hazard that something around the display connector got nudged during the repair.

I would make certain the cables are connected soundly, if that still doesn't fix it, do a careful inspection of your work. You can peel up the sticker around the display connector to make sure everything looks normal

Of the two connectors that come from the display, the one in question is the one closer to the bottom edge of the board.

I’ll try look for anything messed up but I don't know exactly what I’m looking for would it be helpful if I posted a pic of the inside aswell?

@herosbounty27 Absolutely! I know it’s hard when you’re not sure quite what you’re looking at. Mostly I would just look to make sure that things seem solidly in place. You might need some magnification since those components are quite small. The connector or the cable could also be suspect.

@flannelist oki I added a picture but I’ll also look myself. is there any possibility it could be caused by dust on the connector or something easily fixable like that?
