External microphone wiht Nokia G42

I have tried to add an external microphone into usb-c port in Nokia G42. When I record a video, the sound is just crackling, not any voice recording. The microphone worked however well when I recorded just voice with a differnt application. Could somebode tell what to do? The ext. microphone is Dacota Platinum.
