Lg 55lb5900 Screen Showing White Circles

Hi, I recently tried fixing my TV and replaced the LED backlight strips. While doing so I broke the plastic backlight plastic clips that was keeping the distance between the screen and the LEDs. I'm thinking that might be causing the white circles of the LEDs to display on the screen but wanted to check if that's correct. The white circles are only apparent on white background images but in dark color images it's not visible.
