Ich bekomme MacOs nicht zum laufen was kann ich noch versuchen?

Hallo,

Ich habe vor kurzem einen iMac geschenkt bekommen der angeblich nicht funktionieren soll. Es war keine Festplatte verbaut, wesshalb ich eine ssd eingebaut und gleichzeitig einmal alles gereinigt habe.

Das Problem danach ist nur, dass er zwar angeht, jedoch weder in ein vorinstalliertes Betriebssystem, noch in den recovery mode booten will, da er bis zur Hälfte des Ladebalkens lädt und danach stundenlang da hängen bleibt, bis ich ihn ausschalte.

Bisher hab ich folgendes versucht:

  • NVME/PRAM reset
  • Safe mode
  • Von einem Usb stick booten
  • Internet recovery
  • Time machine recovery
  • Verschiedene Festplatten mit vorinstalliertem Betriebssystem
  • Andere Tastaturen

Das einzige was funktioniert ist Windows, welches seit ein paar Tagen drauf installiert ist und keine Probleme macht.

Hat Jemand eine Idee was ich noch versuchen kann damit MacOs wider läuft?

Einstellungen

Wenn mehr als 1 RAM-Riegel verbaut ist, könntest Du diese ausbauen, reinigen und versuchen testweise einen nach dem anderen wieder einzusetzen. Eventuell hat der RAM einen Schuss.

Das hat leider auch nichts gebraucht. Hab auch verschiedene Riegel probiert, von denen ich weiß dass sie funktionieren

@benz78 @marcjacoby exactly which version of MacOS are you trying to install? Since it installs about 1/2way it appears as if there is some hardware it does not like….

@oldturkey03 Its not actually installing the os, as i cant enter recovery mode, not even by using the bootable usb stick. I tried High Sierra and Catalina. My guess would be that it is an hardware problem, but the only thing that confuses me is that it is running windows without any problems.

@marcjacoby reason for that is most likely that Windows does not "look" for the hardware in as much detail as MacOS does. Let's see what we can figure out. Looks like Catalina is the end of the line for this :-)

Are you trying a fresh install or an update? Check the Applications Folder for a corrupt or incomplete Application called Install Catalina. If so, Drag and Drop that one to the trash and empty the trash. Re-download a New Copy of the installer.
