Why is the screen flickering?

my xiaomi mi note 10pro got screen flickering. first it started with less flickering but it is getting more and more. sometimes the screen works perfectly when is low screen brightness. but as soon as I increase the brightness, the flickering starts again. do you thing I should replace the screen or the problem is something else? however there is an option for flickering in the settings, but it gets worst if I turn that option on
