My system power off after 6mins and the fan is not sounding right

Its an old system and the bios is designed to auto-shutdown prevent overheating. And its supersensitive to this. I just fixed my sisters laptop yesterday with the exact same issue. It also means the fan and air filter need cleaning. and re apply coolant paste unnder the cpu.

Hey there, it sounds like your system is overheating. I'd open the device up and inspect the fan assembly to see if anything is preventing the fan from spinning, and I'd also replace the Thermal Paste with some fresh Thermal Paste.
