upgrade iPhone 3GS jailbreak to 5.01

I have iphone 3gs whihc is hving 3.01 jailbroken ... now a days ... most of the apps are not working with it ... i can't use whatsapp/tango/viber/facebook .

So plsssssssssss tell me anyway to upgrade it .... i heard can upgrade it with ipad's baseband ....

pls pls pls tell me that how can i upgrade it ... i will b soooo thankful to you personally ....

pls help me out ...

Google iClarified or RedmondPie for DIYs. You would only need to flash with ipad baseband if you need an unlock. Also unless you've saved your SHSH blobs in Cydia, you may not be able to upgrade it to 5.0.1, only 5.1. On second thought, I am pretty sure you wont be able to upgrade to 5.0.1.
