My Xbox controller will not work without a direct USB connection to a console. Tried new batts, software updates, and all I got it to do was make it turn on for .5 seconds. Any solutions? Also turns on console.

If the controller turns on and stays on when connected to the console as well as works as normal, I have found that the Bluetooth chip on the controller can cause it to power off when it goes bad or gets shorted.

Hello, same problem but i fixed it
The console's Pair button on the controler may be broken, to fix it you might need to replace the button

It is still paired to the console, but only can turn it on, then die.
