The fuel filter on this model is found on the frame rail between the gas tank and the engine compartment usually, however in some of these the fuel filter was actually put in the tank with the fuel pump.
The truck stalling at a red light is not likely due to a fuel filter. It sounds more like a failing fuel pump. However a lot more goes into diagnosing this issue then simply guessing it is a fuel filter or pump.
If possible can you give us some additional information on what troubleshooting you have done? is there and codes stored in the computer? have you tested the fuel line pressure?
Give us some more details like the engine size.
