Max Screen Brightness Diminished After Screen Replacement
Hey, all,
Need some advice. I replaced the display on a 2020 Intel 13" Macbook Pro and it worked fine at first. Then it went dim. Not like the brightness just went down and locked itself, but like the max brightness is now 50% lower than it was before. I can still adjust the brightness, but max brightness is super dim now. It temporarily resolved itself after a NVRAM reset but continued after logging into the machine. SMC reset didn't help at all. I went in and checked my connections and everything looked fine. I also checked the sticker on the display and it had the correct A2251 number on it.
I'm not too sure where to look from here. It almost seems like, when it has yet to do a checksum on boot/login (booting after NVRAM reset), it just lets the backlight chill, no issues. But when doing its checks during initial login, it sees something it doesn't like and rejects it, which will stay consistent until another NVRAM reset.
Any advice is appreciated, just wanted to cover all my bases before claiming a faulty part. Thank you!
Ist dies eine gute Frage?
