There are two sensors that I've replaced on my Pathfinder. I'm not sure which one you're asking about, so I'll explain both. One sensor is straight and the other is angled about 45 degrees at the connector. The connectors are NOT the same. The straight sensor: Remove the front right tire to access it. Remove the wheel well liner. The sensor is now visible at the rear of the engine, near the firewall, as you look toward the bottom left. There's one 10mm size bolt facing you. Use a small ratchet, 10mm socket, with an extension to remove the bolt. Pull out the sensor. Connector is a press type and easily removed. The angled sensor is located at the very rear of the engine, right side as you stand in front of the vehicle. Take off the plastic engine cover by removing two bolts. This will give you room for your hand to slide down the rear of the engine, to your right, and locate the 10mm size bolt holding which attaches the sensor to the engine. You will NOT be able to see the bolt, but if you really squeeze in, you will see the wiring leading to the sensor and perhaps the connector. Remove the bolt and bring out the sensor with the connector in place. The sensor will almost strike the firewall as you extract it from the engine. Connector is a type that requires you to push forward on the release tab as far as it will go. Keep pushing, and hold it in that position. Pull off the sensor.
