My game disc is not spinning and it is not reading it.
I have a ps2 slim 90004. The game discs are not spinning and it is not reading it. The ps2 is powering on. What can be the issue?

Hi!
Well, the most 2 common things that are failing:
1: The laser. Laser is faulty and so it can't recognize and read the disc and need to be replaced.
2: The lid sensor. If this one is faulty it cannot detect if the lid is opened or closed and thus won't read games.
When you put a game in and close the lid, do you hear something? Like the laser that moved? If not, then it's most likely the sensor. If you hear something, then it's the laser. If you are not sure, then post a video and let us help you.
There are 2 sensors for the PS2 Slim. One on top of the on/off button and one on the motherboard it self. Please check both if they are still OK.
