Try to turn off the screen by clicking the power button. Then turn it on again using power button (or fingerprint sensor if setup). If the screen responded again, a ghost touch might have caused the problem.
Infinix phones are known to ghost touches on their screen.

try to hold the power button for as long until it shuts down. when it shuts down, it means it already restarted itself
