Battery problem and internet wide failure to find solution!
I have completed a battery replacement in my Surface Pro 6 and am pretty confident I did it right. I am getting a “No Battery Detected” message and have tried every solution offered by my Google Search.
Fortunately I have not yet fully glued the screen back.
What I would like to understand is if there is a way to test the battery I have installed and if it is charging that uses some kind of meter and doesn’t rely on software.
Thank you
Ist dies eine gute Frage?
Quick update on my question. I have taken the surface apart again and put a dc battery tester on the battery. It seems to be delivering power.
I am going to put the screen back with just sticky tape temporarily as I need to use the machine and hope someone can help!
Thank you.

Sorry all for adding a new comment to my own question. I reassembled the Surface Pro and now it won’t switch on at all even with mains power! Agh! Feeling like an idiot and getting very behind on my “real “ work.

Do you have your old battery? If so try that. Or try swapping the board from the old battery to the new one. It’s possible you shorted something out while connecting and disconnecting stuff. Hook it up to a laptop or P.C see if it’s recognised as a device at all in windows. If it isn’t then you may have to bite the bullet and take it to a shop. Search the device on here see if others have had the issue also.

Thanks Daniel. I will check these options out in the next couple of weeks and let you know how I get on 👍

Same here, second change of battery, one was done couple of years ago and it worked fine. Now I get no battery detected. Maybe new BIOS firmware recognizes this as a non original battery?
