Hi @mary83126
Things to check:
a). Try connecting an external monitor (TV?) to the laptop's HDMI port and check if there a display from the laptop shown on it.
If there is then because you adjusted the hinges you may have accidentally caused the video cable to become unplugged from either the LCD panel or the motherboard, or damaged the video cable where it passes through the hinge.
b). With the laptop turned on, try shining a flashlight at an angle close to the laptop screen and check if you can see any images on the screen at all. They will be very faint if they are there, so trying this in a darkened room may help.
If you can see images then there's a backlight problem with the screen e.g. faulty backlight power supply or loose video cable connector at one end of the connector plug only.
If the video cable seems secure, did you disconnect the laptop battery from the motherboard, before attempting to adjust the hinges? If not then you may have blown the LCD screen backlight fuse on the motherboard.
Please confirm the full model number of the laptop as shown on the product information label on the bottom of the laptop as the schematics for the motherboard will be needed to find out if this is the problem or not.

Do you get a display using an external monitor as suggested above?
If there's no display on the external monitor either, I'm wondering if the laptop is even starting.
Any audio heard or other activity seen e.g. HDD light flashing etc when it is on?
If nothing then try a full power refresh and check if that resolves the problem.
Disconnect the charger (if connected) and turn off the laptop (if on)
Open the laptop and disconnect the battery from the motherboard. You don't have to remove the battery, just unplug the battery cable.
Unplug the coin cell battery from the motherboard (see p.39 (47 of 70 pdf) of the hardware maintenance manual
Press and hold the power button operated for a full 30 seconds and then release it.
Reconnect the coin cell battery, reconnect the main battery and reassemble the laptop.
Plug in the charger and check if it turns on with a display.
If it does then there may be a message stating that the date and time are incorrect. This is normal as the BIOS has been reset back to its factory default state by the reset. Once the date and time have been corrected, the message won't appear the next time the laptop is started. Also any user definable settings in BIOS that were changed by you to suit whatever operating requirements you needed, will have to be changed back again too.
