Red Hot Magsafe connector/ Magsafe board swap for Macbook

Mein Problem

My Magsafe plug would get so hot I could barely touch it. Also it would only charge if you jiggled it jsut right. I thought it was the Magsafe charger and took advantage of Apple's recall of them but it did nothing to fix the problem. So checked around and the replacing the Magsafe board in the computer was the next step. Scary.

But the instructions here were excellent. Ifixit sells the board for about $35.00 so with that and about an hour. I had my Mac back in operation and I thought the problem might have been terminal.

Mein Rat

Get a good set of jewelers screwdrivers as some of the tiny screws are really tight. Also I used little pieces of blue tape labeled with the step numbers to keep track of what goes where.
