Mein Problem

got 2 free xbox's from freinds who are slightly less resourceful and both had the rrod. nothing else was visibly wrong with them.

Meine Reparatur

a freind and i bought the kit and spent the afternoon working on them. the first one was a ##&&% cause of how difficult it was to dissolve the thermal paste from the processors so after a quick visit to the store we got some goodsolvr and got both xboxes fixed up in an hour. couldn't believe it was such an easy fix. booted up without issue.

Mein Rat

wish i had known which solvents to use for cleaning the old paste out. i used some stuff from work that worked really well. gooDsolvr. before that we were using rubbing alcohol and qtips which was pretty much useless by comparison.
