My screen would only backlight at certain undesirable angles, consistently leading me to strain my neck to use my computer.

Of course, the repair process also involved straining my neck to work over my macbook. It went well, I l've taken my macbook apart about four times now. I've lost a screw each time, so that's one securing the keyboard to the case near the battery, two to secure the optical drive, and another somewhere near the battery but facing inwards towards the computer. It looks like I'll have new problems soon enough.
Also each time I've taken my computer apart, the chrome tape covering a couple wires stretching from the optical drive to the fan gets smaller and smaller. Now it's about 1/8 inch thick and 1/2 inch long and doesn't stick.
It worked perfectly, now I can use my macbook at normal angles.
