Unresponsive Screen
The screen does not turn on
Battery Not Charged
If you do not see a green light flash (next to the right side of the screen) when you turn on the camera, there may be an issue with the battery. Make sure the battery is charged, working and properly installed. To ensure the battery is charged place the battery in its charger. If the green light is showing on the charger, then the battery is charged. Note: if you know that it was not already fully charged the light should not already be green and may take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes to fully charge. If you have noticed a significant decrease in the time the battery lasts, this may signify you need to buy a new battery.
Improper Battery Installation
After ensuring the battery is fully charged and in working order, install the battery into the camera making sure it locks into place with a click. For more detailed instructions please see Battery Replacement guide. Finally, turn the camera back on. If the problem still persists there might be possible internal damage.
Internal Damage
If the camera has been dropped or too much pressure has been applied to the screen there is a possibility that the screen has incurred internal damage and needs to be replaced. Please see LCD Display Replacement guide for directions on how to replace the screen.
