  • If tip tinner and wire brushing didn't bring your tip back to working condition, and you really need to finish that last connection or two, bust out some fine-grit (600 or more) sandpaper.

  • If you're at the point where you're sanding your tip, it's time to pick up a new tip.

  • Gently drag the tip across the surface of a polishing bar or fine-grit sandpaper, following the shape of the tip.

  • Be sure to evenly abrade the working surface.

  • Stop as soon as the stubborn oxidation is removed.

  • Complete another round of tip tinning (Steps 2-4).

Das letzte Mittel: mechanische Abrasion

Wenn die Verzinnungspaste und die Metallbürste die Spitze doch nicht wiederherstellen konnten, du aber die letzten beiden Lötverbindungen unbedingt fertigstellen musst, dann hole sehr feines Schleifpapier (600er oder feiner) heraus.

Wenn du an das Abschleifen deiner Spitze denkst, solltest du auch daran denken, dir eine neue zu besorgen.

Ziehe die Spitze ganz behutsam über die Oberfläche einer Polierleiste oder über sehr feines Schleifpapier, wobei du der Form der Spitze genau folgst.

Achte darauf, dass du die lötaktive Zone gleichmäßig abschleifst.

Höre auf, wenn die widerspenstige Oxidation beseitigt ist.

Verzinne die Lötspitze nochmals (Schritte 2-4).
