  • Spudger ready, we turn our attention to the square Nexus Imprint sensor.

  • Wait. Square? Wasn't this thing round when we first saw it?

  • It turns out this version of the Imprint sensor is quite different from the one we found in the 5X. The circular profile of this fingerprint reader is solely due to the round hole in the 6P's rear case.

  • Perhaps Huawei is planning to use this very fingerprint reader in one of their other phones. Handy.

  • Fingerprints FPC2050 fingerprint controller (likely)

Mit dem Spudger in der Hand richten wir unsere Aufmerksamkeit auf den quadratischen Nexus Imprint Sensor.

Moment. Quadratisch? War dieses Teil nicht rund, als wir es zum ersten Mal gesehen haben?

Es stellt sich heraus, dass sich dieser Imprint Sensor stark von dem im 5X verbauten unterscheidet. Das kreisförmige Erscheinungsbild des Sensors hat nur ein rundes Loche in der Rückabdeckung des 6Ps zu verantworten.

Womöglich plant Huawei, diesen Fingerabdrucksensor noch in weiteren Geräten zu verbauen. Praktisch.
