TopTro TR23 Focus Motor Replacement

Einleitung

Is your projector not focusing? The issue could lie with the focus motor. Here is a step by step guide on how to replace it.

Before attempting to remove the focus motor I would first check for debris in the gears that might keep them from moving the lens back in forth to focus.

Before continuing on to this guide make sure your projector is unplugged from it's power source and is on a level, sturdy surface.

Set the projector on its side so the the front is facing to your left.
Insert an opening tool into the seam between the black chassis and the silver case.
Pry around the perimeter until the case fully releases.
When removing the cover, be careful as there is an internal connector attached to the lid and the projectors motherboard. You’ll have to carefully detach that before fully removing the projector case.
Remove the case.

Remove both of the 5.5 mm screws with a Phillips #1 screwdriver.

Use your fingernails to gently disconnect the motor connector from its motherboard socket.
Remove the focus motor.

To reassemble your device, follow the above steps in reverse order.
