a/c freon fill location 2005 ford focus
cannot locate the low side refill port
Ist dies eine gute Frage?
Eugene Scarbrough, The service valve is behind the wheel well cover on the front passenger side. Take a look on here for service and refill instructions. "the A/C system is under high pressure. Also, while R134a isn't as bad for the environment as the older R12, there is still a heavy fine for venting R134a into the atmosphere. You should never take apart your A/C system without proper training and refrigerant recovery equipment. Wear protective glasses at all times while servicing your A/C. Also, you will be working under or near the car while it is running. Hope this helps, good luck.

Go to youtube.com , type in refill car air conditioner and watch the very helpful videos. Worked for me.
I'm sorry, you are wrong. The low side A/C port is behind the "inner fender"
of the right side or pass side.If you remove the "right front" tire and
fold back the "inner fender"from the front you will see the "accumulater"
and the low side port is easy to see on the top of the accumulater.A/C
gauges are needed to make sure the pressures are normal.Better yet let a
professional do it as you could causer more harm if you don't understand
and know what you are doing.

Dead on right info. AC just needed a little shot, back to ice old.

Harry Grace, sure sounds like the same place as mentioned in my original answer.

IS The Accumulator in the same place on Australian Ford Focus since there RHD ?

That's actually called the low-side liquid receiver to prevent liquid refrigerant* flowing back to the compressor - liquids can't be compressed.
*: It's called "refrigerant" - there's actually no such thing as "freon". Freon(TM) is a trade name of DuPont for it's line of halogenated hydrocarbon refrigerants.
