What does the "Err" error message mean?
My camera's screen reads "Err." What is wrong and how do I fix it?

Assuming that you're seeing "ERR" in the viewfinder display, there are a couple of common problems associated with this message. Check the LCD screen for additional information, such as "Start-up error" or "Auto-exposure error." Often the problem can be resolved by removing all accessories, the memory card, and the battery, then re-inserting them. See the Nikon D5000 troubleshooting page for more details.

hola soy técnico profesional de cámaras reflex nikon canon etc. el problema de tu cámara nikon d5000 es un problema con la unidad de apertura,(problema mecánico generalmente) este problema se presenta mucho en nikon presentando err. verifica si el espejo esta bloqueado,trata de empujarlo hacia arriba y comprueba si es eso el problema, si no, baja la maesilla que controla el diafragma del lente si esta trabado eso es el problema llévala a servicio técnico .aveces esto pasa cuando se golpean.

hola mi nikon es una 5100 y saca foto de cerca y salen clara. tiene un lente de 18-55 pero cuando saco fotos lejos queriendo aprovechar el lente me salen distorsionadas .

Hello I have a problem with my Nikon D5300 it just went off wen I was shooting a video till now it's just bring un error inside the view finder.. I don't know the problem and display is not working since that day
