How can the fans be disassembled without damage?

I have a fan that's very audibly grumbling while at idle speeds. I've opened the case and cleaned the fan blades and casings, with no result. I suspect there's dust/dirt in the actual bearings inside of the fan.

I've attempted to gently (but very forcefully) pry the fan piece with the blades away from its axle, to no avail. I fear that using more force would break it, but I can't tell how it's connected to know for sure.

I'd really like to fix this problem without dropping $50 on a replacement fan, if all I need is a cleaning.

Sadly, these fan units are not really designed to be taken apart. While its fun to do on a junker, if you want to reuse it it just won't do. Best to replace.

take some compressed air and some elektronic cleaner.

wd40 could also work. cheaper and easier is to buy a new fan.

Fairly confident on how to clean it -- it's how to get the pieces of the fan to physically separate that I'm having a hard time with :). I feel like if I pry against the rotor any harder, something's going to snap.

First I won't use any oil (including WD40) as it will attract dust which will clog the bearing and the blades.
