Is there a max size of hard drive this model A1174 can be upgraded with?

Any SATA drive will work, even up to the latest HDDs which are 2 TBs!
You computer is SATA 1.5 Gb/s and the newer drives are SATA 3 Gb/s, but its backwards compatable

This computer can use drives up to 2TB. Anything larger may have compatibility problems, but to know for sure you have to try.
