Can I use e.g. a 2006 topcase in my 2008 MacBook?

My Early 2008 Macbook black needs a new topcase. Found this:

This is however for the old model with orange connector and mine is the silver.

Would it fit?

Yes, the top case would fit Early 2008 model, as stated on some of the ads on ebay
