John Mazzone, it is soldered onto the logic board, you will have to unsolder it. I believe its a through-hole connector as well. The port has some legs that go through the board, with the contacts being on top. Remove the board and desolder the port Follow this guide to get to the port. Check for any loose/cracked solder connections as well as any damage to the logic board. Replace the port and re-evaluate.
