@mayer, Hi I'm new to using this website, so I don't know how to ask you a question without being inside a thread. I hope you can help me. I have a GE Microwave JVM3160RF3SS above cooktop unit. I had the apparantly bad habit of opening the door to stop the unit rather than hitting end on the control panel. One day, as I opened the door during use, there was this little spark as I opened the door and the unit has been dead ever since. I followed the instructions to get to the fuse, and it looks both broken inside and burned out. How do I remove the fuse safely? The unit has been unplugged for months, but I know there is danger of electrocution even in light of the duration without power. Can you or someone else please tell me how to safely replace the fuse? I also understand that the fuse may have blown because of a bad door switch due to the way I was opening the door during use. I will check that second if replacing the fuse doesn't solve the problem. I would appreciate fuse removal tips. Thank you.
GE Stainless Steel Microwave GE PEB7226SFSS 2.2 Cu. stopped suddenly during cooking.
