1 How do I fix my power button?
My Alcatel one touch idol three's power button stopped working a couple of weeks ago to the point whenever I had to press the button multiple times to get the screen to turn on and off. I have insurance on it through cricket but the deductible is $75. I want to know if it's worth it to buy the button from someplace like new egg and try to fix it myself or to choose the hefty deductible. Honestly if it came down to that I'd just buy a whole new phone but I really like my one touch idol three and would much rather keep it.

The video in this guide shows how to replace the LCD screen, but around 2:50 the power button is shown.
Furthermore, at around 3:30 the motherboard is removed and you can see the power button separate with it. You may have to replace the motherboard, or if the cable is detachable then replace the power button.
