No picture even though lamp replaced
I replaced my DLP lamp as it was making a crackling sound. The new lamp does the same and will not light up either. I can see it firing but not lightiing.
Ist dies eine gute Frage?

@ged52 sounds like the lamp was not your issue. I would suggest that you check the ballast and maybe can listen closer to where the crackling comes from. Check the voltage to the ballast. It should be about 280V. If there is no voltage, change the power supply. Post plenty of images with your question so that we can see what you see. Use this guide for that. Careful with your ballast, it packs a punch of a couple of thousand volts on ignition.

Can the ballast be replaced or is it not worth it TV was manufactured in August 2006. Thank you
yes it can be. cost is around $120USD new and used around $40USD on places like ebay. Right now it looks like the ballast and sounds like the ballast but until it is checked it's only a suggestion:-)
I got a new ballast assembly board and installed it today. The Lamp is still not light. It just makes a buzzing sound and flashes. Maybe the Lamp is bad that I got as a replacement part?? Any other ideas? Thank you.
