electrical cord replacement on shark rocket HV301
Where can I purchase a replacement power cord for my shark rocket HV301…my daughter’s dog thought it was a chew toy!!

Hi Jan,
Does the power cord easily disconnect from the vacuum cleaner? If not, I can offer two options:
- Repair the current power cord. If done correctly, this is a much cheaper option and is perfectly safe and durable. You would just have to cut out a bit of the power cord, strip the wires, solder, and adequately shrink-wrap/insulate them. If you don’t feel comfortable doing that, any local repair shop or electrician should be able to help you out. They also should not charge you very much for the simple repair.
- Buy a generic replacement vacuum cleaner power line. You can find them online by searching for “shark vacuum cleaner power cord”. Any one that has 3 wires would work. You can even choose how long you’d like it to be! However, the tricky part would be to re-attach the cord to the vacuum cleaner, as they did not make the cord easily replaceable. This may unfortunately require disassembly.

The repair itself is fairly simple and basic except..... How do you dissemble the thing? Wow, Like a complex puzzle that I'm sure that has a little secret or maybe due to age it has kind of glued itself together. I'm honestly stumped.

This has been the most frustrating project I have ever attempted! What I thought was an easy fix has become a have to accomplish now. #1 problem having the correct tool, I have bought 3 different types which none work. It would be very helpful in this case to put a link of the tool needed with the directions

Just an additional comment. My HV301 only had 2 wires, so yours may vary, but I was able to get a generic 2 wire cord for replacement.

I have a cord and am trying to replace it but can't get it disassembled. We have removed all the screws and can't get the dust bin off or the rest of it apart.
Please help!
