I’m trying to remove both the front and back camera to a couple of iPhone 7s for use at a secure site. How can I remove the front-facing Camera without removing the sensor/speaker. It doesn’t look like I can detach the SE Front Camera section from the Proximity sensor cable. Any help would be much appreciated

You cannot separate the front assembly. If they will not let you black the front camera out you will have to cut the flex before the camera. The sensor and earpiece speaker should still work.

Cut the flex right before the camera and the rest of the sensors now no longer work. it's possible I might have damaged the flex cable itself when cutting it with my knife, may have pulled to hard.
I am sorry for suggesting that. Someone had a similar issue with security and that is what they ended up doing, as far as I knew the earpiece speaker still worked.
