Ps4 controller ribbon cable

So basically I've had a controller with connectivity problems upon diagnosing, I replaced the controller with a brand new ribbon cable and charger port also, then the controller was charging and functioning right, I plugged it into my pc for a To run a controller test, upon plugging it in the ribbon cable burnt up? Is this just a messed up board? Bad ribbon cable? Bad battery drawing too much?

The controller is now not functioning, if someone could answer this question along with some advise for a connectivity repair.
