Who fixes TASCAM PORTA 05 decks
Does anyone repair multi track TASCAM devices from the 80’s. The heads will not disengage from a recording I would dearly like to have.

Removing the back cover, and finding the big grey wheel behind the transport that has a belt on it will help. Manually rotate the wheel until the gears turn and disengage the head rail. Make sure play is not engaged, you can press stop before you rotate the wheel.
