Hi there,
Recently, my PS4 slim started making a knocking noise, seemingly from the disc drive, as it only makes the noise while a disc is inserted. Apart from this noise, it operates normally (reading and ejecting discs is fine, etc). I was wondering if anyone might know what the cause might be, as well as if there is an inexpensive fix to the problem.

Just replace the drive. It will only get worse.
