Hi Nancy,
If you told us what was wrong with it we may be able to help you repair it. IFIXIT is about repairing things. Your problem may be something else. How do you know it is just the power cord?

My issue is when the power supply is plugged in you have to push it to one side or the other for the tree to come on. Once you let go, it stops. It won't work with batteries either.
